Adverse Weather

To enquire about school closures in times of adverse weather please:

Telephone the Highland Council Telephone Messaging Service on 0800 564 2272
Enter the school’s pin number: 04 2130

Alternatively, click here to check the Highland Council website …

School is very occasionally closed early due to the loss of an essential service eg. electricity or water, or worsening weather conditions.

POWER FAILURE

  • If power is off in the morning, school will be close and children should be kept at home.
  • If a power cut occurs during the school day, in colder weather, we will wait for an hour for repairs, then close.

It is essential that parents remind their child of the emergency contact name and address.
All parents will be contacted by telephone to collect their children. This process is very slow and we would appreciate parents simply coming to collect children at any time that they consider closure to be likely.  Parents should always err on the side of safety as conditions outwith the village can be very different.
