Our pupils look very neat and tidy and identify with the school, by the wearing of their red or black tops. We encourage pupils of all ages to adopt the school colours and note that the introduction of fleeces, jackets and school or book bags has proved popular. Tops are embroidered with an outline of Urquhart Castle. We have ‘Dress Down Day’ the last Friday of each month as a fundraiser for school fund.
The uniform is red/black sweatshirt, fleece or cardigan with the school logo and black or grey skirt or trousers. Orders can be placed at www.highland-embroidery.co.uk or telephone/fax Highland Embroidery on 01549 402707. Gilmore Sports on Harbour Road in Inverness also supply school uniform on request as do Tesco Direct. There are standard low cost school wear (without the school logo) available from local retailers.
Information on funding to support uniform costs and clothing can be found at:
In order to maintain a high standard of appearance and to reduce the undue influence of
fashion trends, it is recommended that designer sweatshirts, sports and football wear
should not be worn to school.
Shorts are worn by boys and girls for P.E. Children will require an indoor pair of
trainers/gym shoes for indoors and P.E. in the High School hall. Please can you ensure
that all clothes and footwear are labelled with your child’s name.
Teachers would find it helpful if clothes and gym shoes were labelled with your child’s name.
Morrison Construction have kindly provided all pupils with fluorescent jackets. These are issued on loan for the dark winter months. We would particularly encourage their use by all walkers and cyclists.
