Our pupils look very neat and tidy and identify with the school, by the wearing of their red or black tops. We encourage pupils of all ages to adopt the school colours and note that the introduction of fleeces, jackets and school or book bags has proved popular. Tops are embroidered with an outline of Urquhart Castle. We have ‘Dress Down Day’ the last Friday of each month as a fundraiser for school fund.
Uniforms are available from Highland Embroidery on 01549 402707, www.highland-embroidery.co.uk, Gilmore Sports on Academy Street and Harbour Road in Inverness and have recently been authorised through Tesco also.
In order to maintain a high standard of appearance and to reduce the undue influence of fashion trends, we ask that designer clothes, sports and football wear should not be worn to school.
Shorts are worn by boys and girls for P.E. These can be of any colour or style (without sports team logos.) Children require a pair of trainers/gym shoes for indoor P.E. in the high school hall. These must only be worn indoors and be clean of all dirt.
Teachers would find it helpful if clothes and gym shoes were labelled with your child’s name.
Morrison Construction have kindly provided all pupils with fluorescent jackets. These are issued on loan for the dark winter months. We would particularly encourage their use by all walkers and cyclists.
